    Re: Appy JV

let's not forget the appy jv coaching staff. they did an excellent job. but as with any jv team, future sucess depends on how the young players fit into the remaing varsity players when they move up. a sucessful jv does not always mean future sucess at the next level. bush is a good back, is he a freshman? how's his grades, will he be able to stay eligible? a lot of variables come into play as these and other jv players around the district move on in their careers. a good year, congrats to players and coaches.

    Re: Appy JV

All good points. Sometimes the early success can be a curse and not just a benefit. Players hear how good they are, from family and friends, and stop practicing, stop working, stop wanting to get better. You also have the kids who reach a high level early on and just stop getting better. Thats one reason why with girls JV programs tend to be good Varsity programs, girls mature earlier and you have a better indication of how they are going to turn out.
What we've got here is failure to communicate. Some men you just can't reach, so you get what we had here last week which is the way he wants it. Well, he gets it.

    Re: Appy JV

Having a really good JV team can give you a good indication of the talent level for a future varsity team. Obviously, not every player will make the transition from JV to varsity.

Congrats to all in the Appy football program -JV and Varsity- on a very good year.
